friday

today mr. schick gave us some links to look at the Ancient Egyptians inventions and put what we think are the 5 most important inventions. i think the most important would be their medicine. i think this one is the most important because if someone got sick, broke a limb, or needed surgery they could make them better or make it better then it was. next i think it would be their farm tools because it aloud them to make enough food for everyone. next i think would be how they figured out how to build their massive cities and massive monuments. another important invention is how they figured out how to preserve and mummify for their after life. the final important invention i think is their writing and how they had so many words so they could keep notes on every thing.

today in class we watched a video called Guns, Germs, ans steel based on Jarrod Diamond's book. it was about his look at early civilizations and how they survived. it was also about the people in Papua New Guinea and how they survive just how the hunter gathers did. it was also looking at how even in the 21st century they don't have any of the modern technology that a lot of other people have.but then it also explained how they wouldn't be able to survive in the city but can survive in the rain forest.
